ObsessiveAI ("we", "us", or "our") operates the ObsessiveAI chat platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

We collect the following information:

• Account information: email address, username, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
• Profile data: display name, bio, and profile picture if you choose to add them.
• Chat content: messages, prompts, and files you send through the Service, which may be processed by third-party AI providers (see Section 4).
• API keys: if you provide your own API keys for third-party AI providers, they are stored securely and used only to make requests on your behalf.
• Usage data: message counts, timestamps, and feature usage to enforce plan limits and improve the Service.
• Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our third-party payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
• Support & application data: if you contact support or apply for a Moderator / Support Team role, we collect what you submit (e.g. your email, Discord username and ID, and your answers) — see Section 5.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To process your messages and generate AI responses through connected model providers.
• To enforce usage limits associated with your subscription plan.
• To send important account and service notifications.
• To improve and develop new features.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
• To review support requests and staff applications.

When you send a message, it may be transmitted to third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral AI, Groq, Perplexity, or OpenRouter, depending on the model you select) in order to generate a response. These providers process your message content according to their own privacy policies. We do not control how these third parties handle data once it is sent to them, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. Messages sent to our own in-house model are processed on our infrastructure and are not shared with outside AI providers.

If you submit an application through our staff application page, we collect the information you provide — including your email, Discord username and user ID, timezone, and your written answers. This data is used solely to review your application and, if relevant, to contact you about it. It is:

• Stored securely and accessible only to our review team.
• Never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose outside the review process.
• Retained only as long as needed to review your application and staff your community, after which it may be deleted on request.

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure database infrastructure provider. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account information and chat history for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual chats, files, or your entire account at any time through the Service settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
